Oliver at 3 Months

Ollie is a busy baby these days. He is awake much more now. He still spends much of his time eating, but has also added working on rolling over to his to do list. He has rolled from his back to tummy several times now. When he is on his tummy he can hold his head up and look around. He is very interactive and loves smiling st us. He loves songs. He is a little camera shy and gets very serious when a camera comes out. If you want to see a beautiful Ollie grin you will have to come visit us!

He likes to watch the mobile in his crib, and play with all the various Ollie activity areas all around the house. It looks like a daycare center around here! Ollie likes being outside and looking at the trees, grass, birds. There is so much to discover.

Ollie is still working on giving his mommy and daddy a good nights sleep. He is going long stretches between bottles, but still wakes often and needs help getting back to sleep. Having a cold, issues with gas, and startling often haven’t helped things. Because of the startling, Ollie still needs to be swaddled to rest well, but he is so strong that it is tough to keep him swaddled. We have been transitioning him to his crib because he is getting too big for his little bassinet, but he still prefers the bassinet which is angled and rocks. Were hoping that as he learns to roll and his startle reflex leaves things will improve.

Ollie is a sweet little guy and we can’t imagine our family without him. He is super snugly and a delight! It’s so much having a baby in our house and getting the privilege to watch him learn and grow.

Ollie is 11 weeks now! He is a delight and we are loving watching him grow. He is smiling, starting to hit toys, and can “talk” now. It is so fun to hear him .He likes to play in his bouncy seat and he loves playing on his floor mat where he can kick a little piano and make music. There is a picture of a panda bear by his changing table and he loves to look at that. He is awake for longer periods of time. Ollie still has a big appetite and loves to drink his bottles. He is working at sleeping (we hope!) more at night and had a really long stretch last night. He went seven hours between 5:30 PM and 12:30 AM. We hope that happens again tonight.
